Overview
NRFC has been an integral part of the North Ringwood Community since it’s inception in 1962. Throughout the history of the NRFC it has always sought to deliver an environment for all ages to participate in Australian Rules football.
NRFC is affiliated with the Eastern Football League, which is the largest football competition in Australia in regards of player participation, currently a participant in Third Division. We currently have 2 senior sides an Under 18 side and a Veterans side as well as 11 Junior Teams from Under 9 through Under 16 and an Auskick program.
Club
Membership
In season 2009 the membership broke the 300 mark, which included playing, coterie, life and general memberships.
Capital Works
The Football Club has been working with the Maroondah Council and AFL Victoria to complete a facility upgrade. The proposed development will include the addition of 168m2 of additional gymnasium, meeting rooms, storage facilities and second umpire facility. The Gymnasium area will be under management of the football club for 12 months of the year and is scheduled for completion preseason 2010.

Our website at the above url is the main source of information to the club community. For season 2009 the site has had 100,000 hits from January to August and is on track to deliver 130k hits for the calendar year.
Administration
Structure
In season 2009 the club operated with a committee of 11, inclusive of an executive committee of 4. The make up of the committee is from a broad range of professionals, business owners and past players.
Financial
The NRFC Inc. has traded profitable for the past 5 seasons, with 2009 budgeted and currently tracking to a profitable position. We have ensured the financial foundation to ensure the club can be successful and sustainable. Annual Reports can be made available on request.
Accreditation
Quality Club
We current hold Silver Accreditation in the AFL Victoria Quality Club program, which we have held since 2005. The Quality Club Program is a program about standards in club administration. The program is designed to recognise and reward community football clubs for achieving a base standard of club administration through to levels of excellence.
Good Sports
We are currently Level 2 Accredited in the program that helps sporting clubs manage alcohol responsibly and reduce alcohol related problems.
Junior Development
The North Ringwood Junior Football Club currently has 230 players ranging from U9 through to U16’s. In season 2009 the Under 16’s 13’s and 12’s all participated in finals with the U13A’s securing the Premiership. NRJFC secured two Lightening Premierships in U10. Our Colt sides have played finals in seasons 2002,03,04, 06 and were Grand Finalists in 2008. Our current 2009 Colts side has qualified for the 2009 Grand Final on the 5th September.
